Bellator 72 Poster

Bellator 72 took place at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, FL and aired live on both MTV 2 and Spike.com.  The night of action featured the finals of the season six welterweight come to a conclusion as Karl Amoussou defeated Bryan Baker via heel hook.  The other portions of the main card featured the semi-final rounds of the summer series light heavyweight tournament as well as the debut of Paul Daley.

The Weigh ins for Bellator 72 took place today at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida. All fighters made weight, and all bouts will take place as planned.  The main event, in the second of Bellator’s summer series, features the welterweight tournament final bout between  Karl Amoussou and Bryan Baker. In the co-main event, Paul Daley is making his promotional debut against Rudy Bears. The bout may act as a tournament eliminator as to see who gets in the next welterweight tournament.
