James Warfield (15-3) is stepping in on short notice to fight Yves Edwards (34-15-1) at “Shine Fight II: American Top Team vs. The World”.  Edwards was originally supposed to fight Mario Stapel, but Stapel had to withdraw from the contest to deal with personal matters.

Warfield is currently on a four-fight win streak and is 14-1 in his last fifteen fights.  Of his fifteen victories, fourteen have come by way of (technical) knock out.  Warfield has never gone the distance and has only seen the second round five times.

Edwards hasn’t won a fight since February of 2008 when he beat James Berto at “EliteXC: Street Certified”.  He is currently on a two-fight losing streak with losses to KJ Noons and Duane Ludwig.  Edwards has fought for all of the major mma companies including UFC, WEC, Pride, EliteXC, and Strikeforce.

“Shine Fight II: ATT vs The World” takes place on Friday September 4th and will air live via an internet pay-per-view stream.  The full fight card includes:

Shine Fight promotion is coming back with their second event, “American Top Team vs. The World,” September 4th in Miami, Florida. The promotion recently signed a deal with The Fight Network to broadcast in Canada. Officials from Shine Fight announced yesterday that their second venue will be available around the world as an online pay-per-view stream.

This fight card features UFC and WEC veterans, along with some promising prospects. Roan Carneiro, Yves Edwards, Gideon Ray, and Micah Miller are amongst the 20 fighters looking to take advantage of the internet exposure they are going to get.

For $14.95 viewers can watch the fights online, but the option of purchasing the event through Shine Fight’s website during a pre-sale beginning August 21st will cut the price down to $9.95.

The stream will feature both English and Portuguese commentary options. Season 6 member of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Dorian Price, will be doing the English commentary, and current Strikeforce fighter, Jorge Gurgel will be the Portuguese commentator.
