Jake Ellenberger will step in for the injured Chris Lytle and face Carlos Condit at UFC Fight Night 19. Lytle was forced out of the bout due to a torn ACL, which likely leaves the Indianapolis based fighter out of action for a long time.
An IFL and M-1 Challenger veteran, Ellenberger sports an overall record of 21-4 in mixed martial arts. He is currently on a four fight win streak, with his latest victory coming from a 0:42 knock out over Marcelo Alfaya in the Bellator Fighting Championships 9 event.
The former WEC welterweight champion, Condit, will be looking for his first octagon win after losing to Martin Kampmann via split decision in his debut.
UFC Fight Night 19 will take place at Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City on September 16. The event is headlined by a lightweight matchup between Ultimate fighter winner Nate Diaz and Melvin Guillard. The main card will air live on Spike TV.
