The Kenny Florian (11-4) versus Clay Guida (25-10) fight originally scheduled for UFC 106 in Las Vegas will now be pushed back to UFC 107 in Memphis, Tennessee.
The UFC seems to be working hard to improve the card in Memphis since the previously rumored main event between Rashad Evans and Quinton Jackson has been postponed due to Jackson pursuing an acting role in a movie.
Florian will be looking to rebound from his loss to current champion BJ Penn. Florian had won his previous 6 fights before the loss to the champ.
Guida is coming off of a razor-thin split decision loss to Diego Sanchez. He had won his previous 3 bouts up to that point.
It appears that this lightweight matchup will be the co-main event, since Diego Sanchez is rumored to be the next one to challenge BJ Penn for his title on the same card. UFC 107 is set to take place December 12th.
